OIL CITY PICKUPS BLACKBIRD 10TH ANNIVERSARY SET

The Blackbird was developed with the input of Doug Campbell of Black Machine Guitars to produce a clear and string defined medium/high output pickup, specifically for the more technical forms of metal. Named by Jonathan Law of Feline Guitars who were building the Blackmachine B6 models.

Developed to give the clarity of ceramic magnet pickups but utilising Alnico magnets to reduce the overly biting top end that they can have. 

Super rich clean tones with superb harmonic complexity that keep their clarity up to very high gain levels. A very special set for the most demanding players. 
Something quite special happens with both pickups on as they yield a clarity without thin-ness  which is such a sweet sound .

Alnico 4 neck and alnico 5 bridge 9.7k and 13k respectively (six string versions)

This set are a 52mm spaced bridge and a 50mm spaced neck  which will allow for most hardtail and trem equipped guitars
