This is a fun project.
We decided to make a Korina bodied V80 but load it with a pair of classic sounding P90 pickups. The look of the guitar with the crown inlays in a bound neck and a pair of cream soapbar P90s being so familiar in 1950s goldtop Les Paul Guitars

So we used the V80 format - our take on the 1980s variant of the flying V without scratch plates. However we used Korina style wood known as Idigbo.
Idigbo: latin name Terminalia Ivorensis, which along with Limba (Terminalia superba) are the two very similar timber variants that get labelled as Korina.
Korina was a name made up by Gibson in the 1950s to make the timber sound unique and exotic
Weight is very light, clocking in under 7lbs.

The neck is medium full  not unlike a 1959 era guitar snd suits the guitar better than a whip thin neck profile
We used the Earvana nut that we favour so much that brings the tuning accuracy up somewhat

We used Dunlop 6000 frets which has enough height and mass to work wonders for all kinds of rock or blues playing
