FELINE GOTHIC RED WITH FLOYD ROSE

A Nicely balanced rock guitar with a bit of sportscar styling 

We recently made a floyd rose equipped Gothic model for a customer who wanted to cram some Van Halen style DNA into this guitar shape. On that model we made it with an ash body and a maple neck to keep the construction closer to EVH's frankenstrat

We like it so much that we chose to make a similar beast in mahogany and keep the body thickness down to our standard Gothic depth rather than the deeper depth we did on the blue one.

The neck is a 24.75" neck with Dunlop 6000 size frets and our distinctive dot inlay pattern with the smaller satellite dot by the 12th fret marker.
The neck tapers from 43mm at the nut to 57mm in width and from 21mm depth at the first fret going to 23mm depth at the 12th fret .
So it's nice and slim but not super skinny, and is a very comfy fit for most hands
We roll the edges of our fingerboards giving a feel of a neck that already feels played in.

Fitted with a set of UK made Bare Knuckle Blackhawk  bridge and Cobra neck pickups
Controls are a simple 3 way switch, CTS 550k ohm volume and tone and  a Switchcraft jack

Hardware includes Schaller Lockmeister Floyd Rose tremolo with an oversized FatCat cold rolled steel sustain block, Gotoh tuners, Dunlop Strap-locks (the neck strap-lock is mounted flush so that the guitar strap with the locking fitting sits close or flush to the body for greater comfort and to reduce tilting forward

The red colour, very reminiscent of Italian sports cars, works nicely with the carbon fibre backplates and truss rod covers giving a hi tech modern look
