Feline Lion models
The Feline Lion is based on the classic single-cut design from Michigan
We have a few variations within this model and of course have made a number of custom versions too.
Lion Supreme

This is our flagship model and is one that has a carved archtop of a different timber (most often maple) to the main body wood.
Usually found with binding round the body neck and headstock
We always use a three piece quarter-sawn neck and feature a volute behind the adjuster for the two way truss rod.
To many the crowning glory is the all access neck joint carved and finessed by hand to be a fabulous fit for your hands.
Lion Special

(model shown is 2017 mahogany version)
Whilst similar to the Supreme this model features a carved cap of the same timber as the rest of the body. We usually make this model a bit slimmer too for a guitar that is perfectly balanced and easy on the shoulder yet still full of tone and long sustain.
We always use a three piece quarter-sawn neck and feature a volute behind the adjuster for the two way truss rod.

Lion Blues Cat

(model shown is Korina and walnut front BluesCat)
The Blues Cat grew out of a desire to have a premium version of a two pickup Lion Cub variant. So we put a nice flat fascia front of a great looking wood on top of the mahogany (or Korina) body. Sounds a bit more versatile that the Supreme and happy with a wide range of music styles from pop to rock to blues and jazz.
The bodies are often chambered to give a bit more body and complexity to the tone.

Lion L6 - The Shred Lion

(Model shown is one of 3 identical shred Lions we made)
With us making the very popular Blackmachine B6 model underlicense from Blackmachine Guitars we pondered what would happen if you made a guitar that was effectively a hybrid between the Blackmachine and one of our favourite Feline Lion models. This was the result: a swamp ash body with an Australian Blackwood (think Koa) frontmated to a 3 piece quartersawn maple neck
A rosewwod board free from any front markers and fitted with 24 Dunlop 6100 frets.
High output pickups direct mounted, simple controls, Sperzel tuners and a hardtail bridge keep everything 100% functional on this sleek playing machine.
Lion Cub
(model shown is my own favourite guitar - reviewed by The Guitar Magazine)
The slab bodied student guitar that Gibson made fast became treasured by players who preferred a simpler stripped down tone machine. Our cub is no different although we aim for a higher level of finessing than a student model of the past may have received. We always use a three piece quarter-sawn neck and feature a volute behind the adjuster for the two way truss rod.
To many the crowning glory is the all access neck joint carved and finessed by hand to be a fabulous fit for your hands, which may seem unnecessary on a slimmer bodied axe but your hands will tell you otherwise
Lion Cub DC

This model has become a real favourite in recent years and is favoured by players of all styles. Our version takes that basic recipe and improves a few features . From the intonating bridge to compensated tuning nut the tuning is greatly improved and quality tuners.
